Philosophical Strivings in the Late Works of Boris Ukachin
The works of the acknowledged classic of ltai literature Boris Ukachinovich Ukachin (1936–2003) are interesting for the originality of the author's artistic world, the rebellious character of the lyrical hero, and a deep national worldview. The subject of study in this paper was the later works of B. Ukachin, which have not been fully understood in literary works yet. Four editions of the poet’s works belong to this period: "Jasky checekter — kski jyldystar" ("Spring flowers — autumn stars", 1996), "ydyҥ-konniҥ belghezi" ("Weather forecast", 1993), "Salym sakytpas" ("Fate will not wait", 2005), the last of which was published after he passed away. The special worldview manifested in the theme, which is not typical for B. Ukachin, and the philosophical slant of his contemplations allow us to talk about a new creative period, which turned out to be the final one for the writer. It is characterized by thoughts about mortality and related contemplations on the essence of being, the meaning of human life, the fate and destiny of the poet, etc. The poetic universe becomes for the lyrical hero of the poet a way to overcome the frailness of earthly existence.
