Media Image of Siberia through the Prism of Scientific Achievements of Its Regions: Means of Linguistic Representation (Based on the Texts of the Website of the International Exhibition-Forum "Russia")

The article is devoted to the study of linguistic representation of the media image of Siberia in the aspect of scientific achievements of its regions. The source of the empirical base of the study are the texts implementing the self-presentation of Siberian regions on the official website of the International exhibition-forum "Russia", which was held at Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy from 4 November 2023 to 8 July 2024. The linguistic analysis involved text statements demonstrating the achievements of regions in the field of science and innovative technologies. The key means of linguistic representation of scientific-technological achievements are specialized vocabulary and set phrases from the scientific-technical sphere; the concretizing function is performed by proper names that name scientific institutions, innovative projects, production facilities. The self-presentation of the regions creates a media image of modern Siberia as a region with a powerful scientific and technological base, ensuring the effective implementation of science in production, as a macroregion of Russia, significant in scientific-educational, scientific-technological and scientific-industrial terms.
