Analysis and Modelling of Design Processes for Railway Automatic Equipment and Remote Control Systems
The article researches the process of designing railway station automation and remote control. The present paper sets out the hierarchical structure of design documentation for linear facilities. In particular, it focuses on the section devoted to automation and remote control systems within the general structure of the project. The process of design documentation development for station systems was formalized using BPMN-diagrams, a methodology of business processes. This approach enabled the visualization of the sequence and logic of stages execution, as well as the participants of the design process. The analysis of the factors directly influencing the design time allows for the proposal of their classification, including four main groups. It is proposed that a mathematical model of the target function of the design time be developed, based on the existing standards of labour costs for the development of electrical interlocking projects and the analysis of the identified factors. An expert evaluation of the various factors and their influence has been conducted and the potential for further research has been determined by the application of simulation modelling methodology. In the future, this approach will make it possible to increase the efficiency of the process of technical documentation development, reduce the time of work execution, as well as create additional opportunities for analysis and optimization of the design processes of automation and remote control systems on railways.
