Methods for Evaluating the Metrological Characteristics of Automated Control Systems Software

For enterprises in the petrochemical industry, obtaining accurate real-time data on production processes is particularly relevant. Over a set reporting period, the enterprise accounts for all its material flows, their volumes, and movement routes within the framework of the production material balance. A significant portion of technological flows is monitored using readings from measuring and control instruments. Automated process control systems (APCS) are used to process the information received from the instruments. Often, measurement accuracy can exceed regulated values due to additional errors introduced by the APCS software. Typically, this additional software error is not considered when approving the type of measuring instruments in APCS. To account for material flows with the necessary accuracy, it is essential to study and develop testing methods for APCS software.
