IOT Based Continuous Blood Glucose Monitoring System for Enhanced Diabetic Care
This study presents a MATLAB simulation framework for blood glucose monitoring utilizing Internet of Things (IoT) technology. The proposed simulation model integrates the physiological dynamics of blood glucose concentration with IoT-enabled sensing, data transmission, and analysis components. The simulation incorporates realistic variations in glucose levels over time, mimicking both normal fluctuations and abnormal scenarios such as postprandial spikes or hypoglycemic events. Additionally, it simulates sensor measurements, wireless transmission of data to a cloud platform, and real-time analysis for glucose trend detection. The framework enables researchers and practitioners to evaluate the performance of IoT-based blood glucose monitoring systems under various conditions, aiding in the development and optimization of such systems for improved patient care and management of diabetes mellitus. The proposed simulation framework serves as a valuable tool for researchers, engineers, and healthcare professionals in the development and evaluation of IoT based blood glucose monitoring systems. By providing a realistic and customizable environment, it enables the testing of different sensor configurations, data processing algorithms, and communication protocols, ultimately contributing to the advancement of diabetes management technologies and improved patient outcomes. This paper presents a MATLAB simulation framework designed for the monitoring of blood glucose levels through Internet of Things (IoT) technology and sensing, data transmission, and analysis functionalities In summary, the proposed MATLAB simulation framework represents a pivotal step towards comprehensive Type 1 diabetes management, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to enrich patient experiences and elevate standards of care.
