IoT – Driven Smart Agriculture: Custom PCB Design and AI Chatbot Integration for Enhanced Monitoring
These days, growing food in and around their locales has become a more mainstream way in which people transform their eating habits. More people are now interested in cultivating crops and paying attention to what they eat because of the change in lifestyle and in quest for a healthier environment. It's, therefore, essential to support these small-scale farmers and increase crop yields by properly managing water and nutrients. This paper presents an Internet of Things- enabled system that uses embedded sensors for soil moisture content as well as real- time NPK data in a small device, it will track the status of health of the soil, crop growth stage, and recommend amounts to apply for fertilization. The data it gathers on crop recommendations is then transmitted to a smartphone, which a chatbot interface analyzes the sensor readings, engages the user in conversation, and gives tailored recommendations. Additionally, three plant stages—pre- planting, blooming, and fruit or leaf development— recommend fertilizer through observations of soil moisture and nutrient levels and adjustment accordingly for proper development. The solution is tailored for different types of soil like laterite, black and red soils, among others and incorporates recommendations tailored to the agricultural context of Tamil Nadu. Through the implementation of artificial intelligence and Internet of Things, this program will change the dynamics of power existing among small-scale farmers by providing that crucial information which would boost yield and resource use as well as sustainable farming.
