Preliminary Foil Current Shunt Model Used for AC Current Measurement

The paper describes a preliminary foil current shunt mathematical model focused on the determination of LCR components of each individual part of the constructed current shunt. The foil current shunt is characterized by thin foils which represent the shunt resistive element. The resistance, capacitance, and the inductance of each part of the current shunt is analyzed to define the impedance of the shunt, which is also determined using a precise LCR meter.

Abstract

The paper describes a preliminary foil current shunt mathematical model focused on the determination of LCR components of each individual part of the constructed current shunt. The foil current shunt is characterized by thin foils which represent the shunt resistive element. The resistance, capacitance, and the inductance of each part of the current shunt is analyzed to define the impedance of the shunt, which is also determined using a precise LCR meter.
