FMRI Analysis of ADHD'S Impact on Social Skill Development in School-Age Children

Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a mental condition characterized by inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. It can be diagnosed in children based on their everyday behaviours. Different brain regions work differently in every action that differs from what is typical for youngsters. The brain regions associated with inattention (which activates the "Retro splenial cortex"), impulsivity (which stimulates the "Nucleus accumbens"), and hyperactivity (which activates the "Corona radiata) are all activated at frequencies higher than those of typical children for each activity. The collected data will serve as a foundation for the early detection of ADHD in children by identifying the spatially independent components along with their functional connectivity. This will allow one to examine the relationship of intrinsic-activity patterns in various brain regions and classify the processed datasets. The activities were identified using real-time resting state fMRI datasets of 776 patients. The method used to classify the processed datasets involves training the algorithm to discriminate between mappings and then using pattern recognition analysis to continue with prediction.
