Risk Analysis of Wideband Oscillations in Combined Hydropower-Wind Power Systems
With the continuous growth of installed capacity of new energy sources such as wind power, the traditionally hydropower-dominated power system is gradually transitioning towards a new paradigm characterized by the multi-energy complementarity of hydropower and wind power. This transition may give rise to wide-frequency oscillation phenomena at the renewable energy generation base, potentially compromising the overall stability of the power system. Firstly, this study focuses on a multi-energy complementary renewable energy base, developing an impedance model for the integrated water-wind complementary system. It further investigates the influence of key parameters within the hydropower generation system and directly driven wind turbines on the output impedance of the renewable energy base. Finally, in response to stability concerns and wide-frequency oscillations, a damping mitigation strategy based on parameter optimization is proposed. The effectiveness of the proposed stability analysis method is verified through numerical simulations.
