ANTI-CONDOR (The Phishing Detector Using Random Forest Algorithm)
Cybersecurity still faces a great challenge regarding phishing, which normally evades the conventional detection methods. This paper suggests an original approach of integrating random forest algorithms into browser extension and mobile apps to improve phishing detection. The browser extension works on the spot by analyzing URLs and web page content in real time, evaluates features such as URL structure analysis, domain reputation checking, and content similarity assessment for distinguishing legitimate websites from phishing ones. The mobile app also provides these functionalities for smartphones thereby protecting them against opening links in messages or social media that could be phishing attempts. This system has a friendly user interface and can effectively detect different types of phishing attacks to ensure users protect their digital identity and sensitive data while additional improvements are made towards increasing its efficiency as well as customization capabilities.
