Optimization Strategies and Practices for CMDB Modeling Based on Graph Database Technology

The informatization of power grids makes traditional operation and maintenance methods and the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) face challenges. This paper uses graph database technology (Neo4j) to optimize CMDB modeling. By shifting to dynamic node - relationship modeling, it can represent IT resource entities and dependencies better, enabling efficient queries, visualized analysis, and scalable data integration. Practical cases show that slicing the CMDB model by labels improves fault localization and resource coordination, reducing service interruption time. Integrating graph databases into CMDBs boosts operational efficiency, cuts costs, and supports intelligent decision - making. Future research will refine the modeling method and integrate more advanced technologies.
