Bi-objective PV Array Reconfiguration under Partial Shading Conditions
During the daily operation of photovoltaic(PV) array, it often encounters partial shading conditions, leading to the occurrence of the hotspot effect while diminishing the power output. To weaken the influence of partial shading, this paper proposes a bi-objective PV array reconfiguration method, which attempts to maximize power output and minimize the switching number. This proposed method consists of a divide-and-conquer to create the training environment effectively and a bi-objective RL to obtain the trade-off solution in the Pareto Frontiers autonomously. To validate the effectiveness of this approach, simulations are conducted using a 10 × 10 PV array. The simulation results validate the robustness and practicality of this approach under partial shading conditions.
