Nudge Strategies for Enhance Electricity Consumption Efficiency: Case Studies and Recommendations
As global concerns over environmental issues intensify, the implementation of the "dual carbon" strategy and the development of a modern power system necessitate deeper consumer engagement in electricity system operations. Globally, enhancing electricity load flexibility and strengthening demand-side response capabilities have become key measures for improving the stability and sustainability of power systems. Nudge theory, which employs non-monetary and non-coercive interventions to guide individuals toward optimal behavioral choices, is gaining prominence due to its cost-effectiveness and efficiency. This approach holds significant potential for the implementation of automated demand response mechanisms among electricity consumers. This study examines the application of behavioral economics tools in green electricity consumption and provides policy recommendations based on successful international cases.
