A High-Proportion Renewable Energy Micro grid Capacity Planning Method Considering Equipment Lifetime and Voltage Stability
Recent years have witnessed the rapid growth in the high proportion renewable energy micro grid. For instance, the data center micro grid is a typical situation where the highly flexible workload, energy storage system, and renewable energy are integrated in an industrial zone. However, in this situation, the voltage stability is a high concerned issue, and the lifespan of equipment will cast an important impact on costs. To further reduce the operational and construction costs of the micro grid, this paper proposes a high-proportion renewable energy micro grid capacity planning method that integrates equipment lifetime assessment and voltage stability constraints. To solve the problem, a two-layer problem-solving method is modified by combining a genetic algorithm with a branch-and-cut algorithm. A simulation of a typical day is implemented and solved by the Gurobi solver, which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method.
