IoT and Data Analytics in Healthcare
The use of IoT and data analysis in medical healthcare has changed the way patients are treated, hospitals and clinics are managed, and diseases are studied. This paper aims at discussing the possibilities, difficulties and tendencies in the use of these technologies. Some of the primary IoT use cases are in healthcare where IoT are used in telehealth such as remote patient monitoring, smart hospitals, chronic disease management, and eldercare. Big data analytics improves effectiveness in the predictive, diagnostic, prescriptive, and descriptive models in the medical field. This paper covers integration issues like scalability, linkage of data, and workflow compatibility as well as privacy, security, and legal issues. Some future trends include IoT development with 5G and new devices, AI and genomics, interprofessional research, and policy. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to give the review of the current state of data analytics and IoT applications in medical healthcare, as well as future prospects to help the stakeholders for leveraging the benefit of IoT and Data analytics in healthcare applications.
