COMPARATIVE ASSESSMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL COSTS IN THE RUSSIAN ARCTIC
The presented research is updated as follows: firstly, the Russian Arctic’s natural environment is in a zone of increased vulnerability due to natural and climatic features; secondly, the government pays a lot of attention to problems of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources; thirdly, modern enterprises are actively developing and implementing environmental projects and eco-innovations. An assessment of the dynamics of current costs for environmental protection and environmental investments in fixed capital showed the interest of business and government authorities in solving environmental issues. Using Rosstat data, the comparative analysis of current and capital environmental costs has been carried out. The paper offers the authors’ view on the stages of development and implementation of eco-innovations at an industrial enterprise. Administrative and economic methods for rational environmental management in the Arctic which can help to optimize costs for environmental needs have been presented.
