Altering Goods for Industries scale: Initiative of Indonesia’s Leisure Sector’s Amenities in Circular Economy Model

This study aims to see the extent of the excess of hotel amenities in Surabaya. The focus of the study is on items that are hotel facilities for guests, which are used once or during the guest's stay. Hotel amenities are often the obligation of hotels that provide these items but unfortunately, can only be used in the short term or once. The method for conducting the analysis uses LCA (Life Cycle Analysis) for 2 hotel amenities that are always present in each class of hotel or lodging. From the results of the study, it can be seen that waste or activities of providing hotel amenities reach between 21 thousand units per day, with the remaining results of using goods with the same quantity, especially for hotel slippers. With a short life cycle, it is necessary to take the initiative in using hotel slippers and used bottles of hotel soap to be recycled and returned as input factors for the accommodation industry.
