EDUKASI PEMELIHARAAN DAN PENCEGAHAN KOROSI PADA BESI MENGGUNAKAN GREASE DI DESA CIJENGKOL

The "Education on Maintenance and Prevention of Corrosion on Iron Using Grease" program in Cijengkol Village has been successfully implemented with the aim of increasing public knowledge about corrosion and its prevention techniques. This activity includes initial observation, counseling, and direct practice of using grease as an iron protector. From the results of the observation, it was found that many iron fences in the village were corroded due to exposure to weather and humidity. The counseling conducted on February 12, 2025 was attended by local residents, where participants were given an explanation of the causes and impacts of corrosion as well as effective maintenance techniques. Participants also practiced applying grease to iron fences that had been sanded. The evaluation results showed an increase in public awareness of the importance of maintaining iron materials. Most participants stated that they would routinely use grease to protect their iron equipment. This program is expected to provide long-term benefits in maintaining iron infrastructure in Cijengkol Village and improving the quality of life of the community
