ANALYSIS OF TEMPERATURE DYNAMICS DURING ELECTROPEROXIDE CLEANING OF OIL-CONTAMINATED MEDIUM

The article is devoted to the study of processes occurring in soils contaminated with oil products under the influence of electric current and oxidation reactions. Hydrocarbons penetrating into the soil negatively affect its physical and chemical properties, which requires the development and application of effective methods of cleaning and restoration. The purpose of this work is to study the effect of electric current and chemical oxidation processes on contaminated soil using oil-containing loam as an example. The experiments were carried out in laboratory conditions using calcium peroxide as an oxidizer. Under laboratory experimental conditions, the effect of various parameters, such as current strength and duration of cleaning, on temperature changes in soil containing oil pollutants is studied. The article presents the results of the analysis of the dynamics of the ambient temperature during the cleaning process, which allow us to judge the nature of the processes occurring in the soil. The main attention is paid to the temperature dynamics in different soil zones during electrolysis. The results show that the temperature in the soil changes depending on the time of exposure to electric current, which indicates exothermic reactions associated with the oxidation of organic pollutants. The importance of understanding the thermodynamic processes occurring in soil is emphasized for optimizing the methods of cleaning and remediation of contaminated areas. The findings of the study indicate that the use of calcium peroxide in combination with electrochemical methods can significantly improve the efficiency of cleaning soil from oil contaminants. Potential environmental benefits of using electrochemical methods compared to traditional cleaning methods, such as mechanical extraction or chemical neutralization, are also noted. In addition, the authors emphasize the need for further research to better understand the processes occurring in soil and to develop recommendations for the use of this technology in situ. The study proposes new approaches to solving the problem of soil contamination with oil products and outlines prospects for further scientific research.
