A VIOLÊNCIA CONTRA MULHER EM MACEIÓ ESTUDO E ANÁLISE

ABSTRACT This is a study on the incidence of violence against women in the state of Alagoas. Based on this premise, this research has the following problem: has there been an increase in the incidence of violence against women in the state of Alagoas? Based on this point, the general objective of this study is to assess the impact of violence against women in Brazil. The specific objectives include identifying the profile of perpetrators and victims of gender-based violence in Brazil; analyzing the incidence of cases of violence against women in the state of Alagoas; and describing measures to combat gender-based violence based on the Maria da Penha Law. Regarding the methodology, this research consists of descriptive and qualitative bibliographical research, considering that the incidence of violence against women in the state of Alagoas will be described. Regarding the sources of this study, they include scientific articles, dissertations, data from the Brazilian Yearbook of Public Security of the Brazilian Public Security Forum (FBSP), and the Atlas of Violence of the Institute of Applied Economic Research (IPEA). The research period is from 2019 to 2024, searched on platforms such as Scielo and Google Scholar. And answering the question of this study, which is: was there an increase in the incidence of violence against women in the State of Alagoas? Yes, there was an increase in the incidence of violence against women in the State of Alagoas in relation to various types of aggression, finding only an insignificant reduction in cases of feminicide committed in the State.
