Implementation of Fractional Order Lowpass Filter using different Approximation Techniques
Abstract Interest in fractional order circuits is new but has grown across a variety of research institutions. A reasonable approximation of the fractional Laplace operator s α is crucial for designing fractional order filters. This article compares and discusses three popular ways to approximation techniques named as the Modified Stability Boundary Locus approach, the Reyad Elkhazali Method, and the Continued Fraction Expansion method. Following this phase, the suggested Fractional Order Low Filter transfer function will be examined and determined. The next phase in the process involves the generation of the indicated filter using an operational amplifier. Texas Instruments TINA software is used for the simulation of the proposed circuit. The outcomes greatly exceed what could be achieved with the currently employed procedures.
