Passenger satisfaction evaluation and MassMotion-based simulation of pedestrian flow in Wuhan Wujiapeng station
This study examines Xujiapeng Station, a pivotal interchange in Wuhan's rail transit system, using MassMotion software to simulate pedestrian flows. With increasing passenger volume, the station confronts challenges such as inefficient transfers, crowd management, and evacuation safety. Common concerns include congestion, vague transfer directions, inadequate safety features, and unclear signage. By analyzing field research and data, the study pinpoints issues in the interchange process. Simulations with MassMotion guide the development of optimization strategies to boost transfer efficiency and enhance passenger satisfaction. The findings aim to inform crowd management and flow design at Xujiapeng Station, enhancing urban rail transport services.
