Application of system theoretic process analysis method in safety analysis of navigation-assisted driving system
Safety analysis is a key task in the safe development of intelligent connected vehicles. Based on the STPA method, this paper conducts safety analysis in the development of the safety of the intended functionality (SOTIF) for the automotive navigation-assisted driving system. Through safety analysis, the unsafe control actions of the system is obtained, and the causal scenarios that lead to the unsafe control actions are identified, thereby deriving the intended functional safety requirements. Taking the unsafe control actions and causal scenarios identified by the Navigation on Autopilot (NOA) function as an example, the SOTIF test scenario is derived. It is conducive to confirming the improvement measures for insufficient functions and providing new ideas and methods for improving the safety of navigation assisted driving systems.
