Harmonic Model of Triple Phase-Shift Modulation Scheme for a Dual Active Bridge Partial Power DC-DC Converter

The modeling of Dual Active Bridge converters presents a high level of complexity due to their high nonlinearity and the variety of modulation schemes. Furthermore, existing models often overlook second-order behaviors and highfrequency phenomena in the AC link. This work develops a harmonic model for the Dual Active Bridge converter in its partial power Input Parallel Output Series configuration, utilizing the Triple Phase-Shift modulation scheme. The model is based on the Fourier series decomposition of switching signals, providing dynamic representations of the system variables in both AC and DC domains. The results, validated through simulations, demonstrate the accuracy of the modeling that captures the dynamic of the system behavior, achieving errors of less than 1%.
