Optimization DC Bus Stability using Particle Swarm Optimization Method in Wind/Photovoltaic/Fuel Cell/Battery Based Hybrid Energy Generation System
With the advancement of technology, besides the traditional grid, renewable energy sources are also being utilized. This paper deals with the optimization of the voltage stability of a DC bus consisting of wind, photovoltaic, fuel cell, and battery-based hybrid power generation sources. The stability of the DC bus voltage provided by the PI control method is improved by using a particle swarm optimization algorithm to improve the control parameters. The voltage derived from the energy channels is stabilized to the reference signal of 500 V DC bus voltage using the PI control method, and the control parameters are optimally improved using the particle swarm optimization algorithm. The performance of the proposed method is compared to the PI algorithm. To provide optimal DC bus stability, the proposed method is proven to have an optimal efficiency of 97.24% with a standard deviation of 0.05 after 220 iterations. Simulation results are obtained using Matlab-SIMULINK.
