A Deadbeat Model Predictive Power Controlled Parallel APF for PV Grid-connected Systems
This paper proposes a novel application of two parallel inverters as an active power filter (APF) to improve the power quality of a photovoltaic (PV) system. The parallel inverters are connected to a common DC link, which is supplied by a PV array. The control strategy of the parallel inverters is based on the deadbeat model predictive power control (DBMPPC) method, which can effectively regulate the active and reactive power exchange between the inverters and the grid. A boost converter is employed to interface the PV array with the DC link, and its control is based on the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) method, which can optimize the power output of the PV array. The proposed system is verified by simulation results.
