Conceptual Study of a Hybrid Switched Capacitor Flyback Converter
This paper presents a novel DC-DC converter topology implementing a combination of switched capacitors and Flyback structures offering several advantages: efficient operation over wide input voltage ranges, significant reduction of voltage stress on primary-side switches, and low-complexity, costeffective realization. The topology is proposed as an alternative to state-of-the-art solutions for applications demanding these features. The paper presents a basic analysis and comparison of the Switched Capacitors Flyback (SCF) topology against its most relevant counterparts, supported by experimental results from a functional prototype with 50 W output power.
