Enhancing STEM Education through Integrated Data Science Pedagogy in Undergraduate Curricula

This study explores the impact of integrating data science pedagogy into undergraduate STEM education, addressing a notable gap in current curricula. Through a mixed-methods approach, it examines both the structural design of existing programs and the outcomes associated with incorporating data-driven instruction. Findings reveal that embedding data science into STEM courses significantly enhances student engagement, critical thinking, and analytical skills. The study highlights how hands-on, interdisciplinary modules improve learning retention and prepare students for careers in increasingly data-intensive industries. By aligning academic training with real-world demands, this research advocates for a shift in educational practices that equips students with the competencies necessary for success in modern professional environments. The integration model presented offers a scalable framework for curricular reform, emphasizing the need for a future-ready STEM education system.
