IMPLEMENTATION OF STATE AND PUBLIC SECURITY MEASURES BY THE RUSSIAN ADMINISTRATION IN PRIVISLINSKY KRAI (1894-1904)
This article analyzes the efforts of local authorities in the Privislinsky Krai of the Russian Empire between 1894 and 1904 to uphold state and public security during the pre-revolutionary period. Focusing on the Polish provinces - a region deemed the most volatile within the empire due to acute national, confessional, and social tensions - the study evaluates the administration’s policies aimed at mitigating internal threats. The research employs retrospective, problem-chronological, and historical-comparative methods, alongside general scientific approaches, to assess the efficacy and implications of these measures.
