TEACHING RUSSIAN PHRASEOLOGY AT DANGARIN STATE UNIVERSITYIN A NON-NATIVE LANGUAGE ENVIRONMENT
This study examines the methodology of teaching Russian phraseology in Russian as a Foreign Language (RFL) classes at Dangarin State University, where instruction occurs without the support of a natural language environment. The research highlights the dual nature of phraseology instruction: while essential for developing students’ lexical and grammatical competence, it presents significant challenges due to the inherent complexity of phraseological units, whose meanings often elude both foreign learners and native speakers alike. The conscious-comparative method emerges as a particularly effective pedagogical approach, enabling students to systematically acquire both Russian and Tajik phraseological units. This study underscores the importance of phraseology instruction in training proficient Russian-speaking specialists, while addressing the unique difficulties posed by teaching figurative language in a foreign language context.
