Dilemma and Solution Strategies of Improving College Counselors’ Professional Psychological Quality under System Theory

Based on the theoretical framework of system theory, this study focuses on the systematic construction of college counselors’ professional psychological quality. By deconstructing counselors’ professional psychological quality into four functional subsystems: personal core system, environmental system, organizational system and social system, a relevant analysis model is constructed. Based on the field of counselors’ work practice, this study deeply analyzes the deep-seated reasons that hinder the development of their professional mentality, professional ability and professional will, and puts forward the path to improve counselors’ professional psychological quality based on the holistic, collaborative, dynamic and open views of system theory.
