This research paper explores the critical intersection of gender equality and climate action, underscoring women’s vital role in achieving sustainable environmental outcomes. It provides an in-depth analysis of the disproportionate impacts of climate change on women, particularly in developing countries, and emphasizes the necessity for gender-sensitive approaches in climate policy. This study combines qualitative and quantitative approaches, drawing insights from surveys, interviews, and case studies across various regions. The key takeaway? Climate change is worsening gender inequalities, with significant impacts on women’s health, livelihoods, and education. The paper highlights successful gender-inclusive climate initiatives, such as women-led community programs in Bangladesh and the Green Belt Movement in Kenya.
