Influence of the feed additive Farmatan TM on the milk productivity of cows

Many farmers are currently moving away from the use of antibiotics and increasingly preferring phytobiotics, which partially suppress the growth of pathogenic microflora. The purpose of the research was to study the influence of the herbal additive Farmatan TM on the milk productivity of lactating cows of Holstein breed. The influence of a biologically active additive made from plant materials on the lactation parameters of cows has been analyzed in the work. The study used the feed additive of the trade mark Farmatan as a biologically active additive in a dosage of 30 and 50 g (1st and 2nd experimental groups, respectively). The scientific and economic experiment was carried out on the farm of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education, State Agricultural University of the Northern Trans-Ural. During the scientific and production experiment conducted on cows after calving, the efficiency of using a feed additive of plant origin to increase milk productivity was assessed. The groups of animals were formed taking into account the level of productivity and the stage of lactation. It was noted that when feeding lactating cows the feed additive Farmatan TM an increase in the average daily milk yield was observed. Thus, the highest average daily milk yield for the entire period of the experiment was obtained from the cows of the 2nd experimental group, where it was 18.61 kg, which was more than that of their herdmates in the control group by 2.48 kg or 13.33 %, and the 1st experimental group by 2.12 kg or 11.39 %. The difference between the average daily milk yield of cows in the control and 1st experimental groups was small and was 0.36 kg in favor of their herdmates in the 1st experimental group. Analysis of the obtained data showed that the inclusion of the feed additive in the ration of cows also led to an increase in the mass fraction of fat and protein in milk.

The purpose of the research was to study the influence of the herbal additive Farmatan TM on the milk productivity of lactating cows of Holstein breed. The influence of a biologically active additive made from plant materials on the lactation parameters of cows has been analyzed in the work.
