INTEGRATING TECHNOLOGY IN EDUCATION WITH RESPECT TO NEP 2020: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES

The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 envisions a transformative role for technology in reshaping India’s education system to address challenges of accessibility, equity, and quality while fostering innovation and skill development. This research paper examines the integration of technology in education within the framework of NEP 2020, highlighting the opportunities and challenges it presents. Key opportunities include personalized and adaptive learning, the promotion of digital literacy, and the use of multilingual digital content to cater to India’s diverse learner base. However, significant challenges such as the digital divide, inadequate infrastructure, and the lack of teacher preparedness persist, particularly in rural and underserved areas. By analysing policy mechanisms, case studies, and best practices, this study provides actionable recommendations for effective technology integration. The findings aim to guide educators, policymakers, and stakeholders in leveraging technology to achieve NEP 2020’s vision of an inclusive and equitable education system.
