A Framework to Optimize Air Traffic System
The analysis of system resource configurations underlying flight delays and their propagation is a critical topic in the field of air traffic management. While existing research primarily focuses on congestion control and the propagation of air traffic flow, less attention has been devoted to the mechanisms driving air traffic congestion. This paper introduces a mathematical model aimed at optimizing the air traffic system within the Terminal Maneuvering Area (TMA). Specifically, an algebraic method is proposed to analyze the TMA, which consists of multiple sub-segments connected in series. Experimental results demonstrate that, compared to alternative methods, the proposed model offers enhanced efficiency for the air traffic system.
