PECULIARITIES OF PROBATION SUPERVISION OF CHILDREN IN THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC

The article considers the issues of release from punishment in the form of imprisonment with the application of probation supervision by the court in respect of a convicted child in accordance with the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Probation supervision (probation) in the Kyrgyz Republic is a coercive and encouraging measure of criminal-legal influence. The article also analyzes statistical data on the number of juvenile probation clients for the period from 2020 to 2023. The author notes the importance of considering in the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Probation” a separate chapter regulating the issues of juvenile probation. The article formulates proposals aimed at improving the norms of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic on the application of probation supervision in relation to a convicted child.
