Reuse of Shipping Containers in the Construction of Public Buildings as a Step Towards Creating a More Sustainable Architectural Environment

In the conditions of an increasingly frequent demand for environmental protection, the role of the reuse and integration of transport containers in the architectural solutions of public buildings is investigated. By exploring theoretical frameworks, various complex issues as well as practical uses, the main approaches, principles and possible solutions for achieving design cohesion, environmental awareness and operational efficiency are clarified. The positive and negative sides of the use of this modular system in its application in public buildings and how they affect the environment and man are analyzed. The various types of containers and their application are listed in relation to the search for functional, aesthetic and environmentally friendly solutions. The advantages of the system in public buildings are discussed, and guidelines for development are given.
