Features of studying individual style of the writer: a school paradigm

Ukrainian literature as an educational subject in the New Ukrainian School should also acquire a new/updated status, because it contributes to the formation of the national worldview of students, helps them assert themselves as a Ukrainian personality, and instills aesthetic tastes. This is especially important today, when the Russian aggressor is destroying Ukraine, plundering our spiritual heritage, imposing its brutal narratives of the Russian world. Therefore, in the fi eld of view of our state educational structures, cultural figures, and philologists, educational environments should be under protection, which, together with society, will form a person with a stable national- centric worldview, who will know «whose parents and whose children we are.» At all stages of studying Ukrainian literature, students of diff erent age groups gradually acquire the skills of analyzing a work of art, and also become aware of the regularities of the development of the literary process as a whole. In the system of literary education at school, an important place should be given to the individual style of the writer, since the creative manner of the artist of words is unique, hich should be paid attention to by students when analyzing the studied works of various authors. Unfortunately, the school program does not provide for the allocation of hours for the study of the individual style of Ukrainian writers. However, the lexicographer should fi nd time to explain this phenomenon. This will improve students’ understanding of the studied text by this or that author and will open the curtain to the writing laboratory. The purpose of our research is to analyze and describe the methodology of studying the individual style of the writer in the lessons of Ukrainian literature and justify the need to address this aspect in the school paradigm. The topicality of the topic is due to the need for more active involvement of the issue of individual writing style in the lessons of Ukrainian literature in modern Ukrainian schools. To achieve the goal, a number of research methods were used: analysis, synthesis, descriptive method. Conclusions and prospects for further research. Therefore, the study of the individual style of the writer in the school paradigm must be based on the main principles of studying Ukrainian literature, individually – specifi c ones, which include the principle of historicism, the principle of aestheticism, the principle of emotionality, the principle of going beyond the subject. This will help students to better understand the artist’s «secrets of poetic creativity» (I. Franko) and his originality. In the process of working on the writing style, it is advisable to use innovative technologies, necessarily taking into account the specifi cs of the creative heritage of the word artist, his creative manner. A promising topic for further research may be the question of the peculiarities of the teaching of the chapter «The Shot Renaissance» in the lessons of Ukrainian literature in the 11th grade in terms of stylistic trends.
