Prophetic Leadership Based on Maqasid Sharia
This study aims to determine the influence of prophetic leadership on the implementation of maqashid sharia. This research employs a qualitative approach through a literature review. Prophetic leadership refers to leadership that is pious, knowledgeable, strong, trustworthy, and generative, while also focusing on spiritual and moral values exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Prophetic leadership not only focuses on worldly matters but also emphasizes the afterlife. The crises currently faced by society such as humanitarian, economic, moral, and ethical crises highlight the urgency of applying this leadership model. Prophetic leadership emphasizes justice, wisdom, empathy, and care in achieving the goals of maqashid sharia, which are to preserve religion, lineage, wealth, intellect, and life. The findings show that prophetic leadership, which is dynamic, flexible, and universal, has contributed to the success of Islam in leading the world for 14 centuries. These values are reflected in 228 verses of the Qur'an that regulate societal life.
