Abstract 1366 Investigation of Anticancer & Antimicrobial Properties of PolyRhodanine Copper NanoComposites
Rhodanine (derived from thiazolidine), a heterocyclic compound, plays an essential role in the biological system of humans. Its derivatives are present in drugs and are used in antibiotics, antiviruses, antidiabetics, and antifungals. We hypothesize that the shape-controlled synthesis of PolyRhodanine will provide an exciting perspective for diagnosing and treating diseases, including cancer. In our research, we used PolyRhodanine Copper NanoComposite which was synthesized in a single-step oxidation-reduction reaction in the presence of transition metals in the microwave in our chemistry laboratory.
