Abstract 2704 AlphaFold2 Analysis of Protein Point Mutations within Conformational Landscape
Underpinning numerous biological functions, protein conformational changes are driven by various protein sequence mutations. This study explores the relationship between conformational shifts and specific mutations within biological proteins through a template protein of MhsT, which entails essential inward and outward conformations for its function. Utilizing machine learning, this study leveraged AlphaFold2's conformational predictions as an analytical tool to either repudiate or confirm our hypotheses of how mutations influence conformational landscapes.
