Abstract 1375 Improving Academic Mentorship
Mentorship is vital for early career researchers, allowing them to navigate the challenges of work and life in research environments. However, the quality of mentorship received by trainees and faculty can vary by investigator and by institution and we have little information on how researchers are supported. In the interest of advocating for increased and enhanced faculty mentoring and mentoring programs, we surveyed over 2,500 early career researchers at graduate, postdoctoral and early- and mid-career faculty stages on their mentorship experiences.
