Abstract 1888 Identification of sites of ROS production during tun formation of Hypsibius exemplaris
the Bruker timsTOF fleX MALDI-2 instrument (SUNY Albany) and are developing methodologies to image various tissues/structures in Drosophila larvae. We have observed striking localization of various lipids that appear to distinguish the larval fat body, gut and hemolymph, and perhaps body wall muscle. We hope to use tissue-specific GAL4 lines to validate those tissue designations, especially the fat body and hemocytes that are critical to the innate immune response. In preliminary studies, we have observed important metabolites and hope to further assess the distribution of glycolytic versus PPP metabolites in a spatial and temporal manner.
