Advanced Crash Analysis Software for Aircraft Carriers with Reliable Post-collision Assessment

Abstract In this article, collision analyzer pre- and post-processor (CAPP) and in-house solvers have been developed to produce and analyze carrier-based aircraft crashes. The pre-processor enables simple batching of condition parameters for the analysis and supports automatic deck plate generation. Segmentation of 3D models and density assignment for mass distribution analysis are also possible. The post-processor visualizes the collision analysis results, such as stress or strain contour distribution and per-frame-analysis information from the in-house solver in 3D animation. The developed software enables intuitive and straightforward batching of collision parameters, facilitating collision parameter transition studies for various crash situations. This study achieves an accurate crash analysis featuring aircraft carriers and aircraft.
