Abstract 1309 Construction of D-Site Recruitment Surface Ligand Library to Investigate the Impact of Redox Modification on ERK2-Ligand Interactions
Mitogen-activated protein kinase- and redox-dependent signaling pathways are emerging as important regulators of many cellular processes, such as aging, cell proliferation, and the immune response. We recently showed that oxidation of the canonical MAPK, extracellular signal regulated kinase 2 (ERK2), within its D-site recruitment surface (DRS) can differentially affect its interactions with a subset of model ERK2 ligands, leading to different signaling outcomes under oxidizing and reducing conditions.
