Abstract 1501 Regulation of nucleocytoplasmic shuttling of karyopherin α2 and its interaction with NPM1 under oxidative stress: The role of AKT1 and CDK1
Karyopherin α2 (KPNA2), also known as importin α1, is a crucial protein that facilitates the transport of proteins into the nucleus and is involved in various cellular processes, including cell cycle regulation and transcription. In response to various cellular stresses, KPNA2 accumulates in the nucleus; however, the mechanisms driving this process remain largely unknown. This study aims to examine the impact of oxidative stress on the distribution of KPNA2, with a particular emphasis on AKT serine/threonine kinase 1 (AKT1) and cyclin-dependent kinase 1 (CDK1).
