Abstract 2941 Temporally resolved metabolic and phenotypic effects of TORC2 inhibition in C. elegans
The target of rapamycin (TOR) is a nutrient-sensitive, central regulator of cell growth, metabolism, and many other aspects of physiology. TOR occurs in two complexes, TORC1 and TORC2. Whereas TORC1 has been extensively studied, the roles of TORC2 remain poorly understood because of its rapamycin insensitivity. Caenorhabditis elegans is an excellent model for investigating TORC2 due to the high conservation of TOR signaling and central metabolism. However, genetic inactivation of TORC2 has pervasive effects on C.
