Abstract 1999 Detection of Lactobacillus reuteri and E. Coli Nissle 1917 in Broiler Chicken microbiota gut samples
The practice of rearing broiler chickens in limited spaces increases the occurrence of rapid spread of diseases among poultry flocks, creating a continuous challenge in the poultry industry as it affects productivity leading to economic losses for the producers. Administration of probiotics is used to enhance the natural immunological capacity and to increase the growth rate in poultry. Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) are being commercially sold as probiotics for the improvement of animal organisms that will perform well or better than existing probiotics in the poultry industry.
