Abstract 1286 Voicing Visual Literacy: Student Interviews to Improve Biomolecular Visualization Assessments
experimental design and key molecular biology techniques, but also develop an understanding of how genetic variation influences their physiology. This approach promotes scientific inquiry and increases students' engagement with biology by linking the subject matter to their personal and cultural experiences. The results of this study highlight the importance of including diverse populations in genetic research and encourage the use of inclusive, student-centered methods in the biology classroom. The development of these lab modules
