Abstract 2675 Postdocs- At the Junction Between Mentee and Mentor
Objective: To aid postdocs in acquiring skills for dual roles as mentees and mentors-in-training, we have developed a certificate course to improve postdocs' current mentee relationships and acquire necessary skills as a future mentor. Methods: Postdocs are in a unique position in which they are navigating an increasingly complex relationship with their PIs as they are seeking independence, while simultaneously providing guidance to junior mentees in their lab/research settings. Summary: This Program has been adapted from the NRMN - Entering Mentoring curriculum developed at the University of Wisconsin CIMER, which encompasses eight major mentoring concepts using scenario-based case studies that foster group participation.
